It's that time of year again when the Ideal Home Show sets up camp at the SECC, Glasgow to inspire us in our homes, gardens, our kitchens and our wardrobes! I really enjoy visiting each year, and I'm sure due to popularity it's no wonder we are having back Greg Wallace, George Clarke, John Amabile, Amanda Lamb and Diarmuid Gavin for 2015. A great panel together! It takes place from 22-25 May at SECC.
I found this great clip from the Ideal Home Show in London in 1960 - wow, gives you a great insight into how even back then this type of show was important and popular. I do love the line in it for summer living 'This Chair, the right girl and a hot summer' when the narrator is describing new trends in garden furniture!
If you have never visited before - here is a look at last years highlights, see what you missed!
I am looking forward to hearing advice from architect George Clarke's talks at the show (I loved his Small spaces & Shed of the year programmes), looking forward to seeing the new trends for rooms, sampling gorgeous food and drink from Scotland and of course be checking out the beauty section too! Well that's my May bank holiday booked!
